Still alive!

It’s been a while since I last posted – some of you might have even assumed at this point that I’ve either died, been incarcerated, turned into Brett, or maybe even gone back out into the woods to live amongst the squirrels again.

Just to prove that none of the above have actually happened, I’ve put up a new album in the daverea.com gallery, and also given the gallery a new look. Enjoy!

If you check out no other photos, at least take a look-see at number 6801 – I caught this one just as the firefighter was center-punching the window, so the photo shows the glass in mid-shatter!

    Dave,

    Glad to hear that you have not been transformed into some other entity for the time being. I ran across the Nikon and Kodak Wi-Fi press releases today and wondered if it was based on your original work.

    I hope all is going well with you. Still having fun here and managing to at least keep the students reasonably well occupied and entertained.

    Hey Dr. Phillips! Glad to see another friend poking around this website…

    The new products from Nikon and Kodak look pretty cool – and to my knowledge they’re among the first with actual built-in WiFi. I wish I could tell you we were able to license Wi-Pics technology to them, but alas the fancy pens are still waiting to sign that contract!

    Wi-Pics focused mostly on abstracting the CompactFlash interface, and the hw/sw synergy required to do so – before I departed from DICE, we got it working pretty darn well! They’ve continued to advance the design, and hopefully Wi-Pics will continue to see success…
