A wedding takes place today…
In a little under two hours, groomsmen will begin arriving at our house. Kelly and her bridesmaids are waking up right about now, sequestered in an undisclosed location, getting ready to do hair and makeup and dresses. Our parents are watching the weather – which will be perfect – and our pastor is probably putting the finishing touches on his homaly.
At one o’clock, along with friends from far and near, our co-workers and all the family members we could rustle up, we’ll converge on the church. And after years of attending other people’s weddings, Kelly and I will be the ones at the altar. It’s been five and a half years since we first met, and we’ve come nearly full-circle: we’ll be married a little under 1000 feet from the spot where we met for the first time ever.
I couldn’t be more happy, or proud, or blessed – Today I get to marry my very best friend.

Dave… I’m sorry I can’t be there. I love you both, and the best of luck to you.
Congrats Dave!
