…of upgrading and updating things, you probably won’t notice that daverea.com has been updated to WordPress 2.0.4. I’m hoping the upgrade will stop the steady stream of spam comments that hit my inbox (awaiting moderation, of course – I gotta take care of my peeps!) and improve the security of the site.
A notable addition to the site is the presence of trackback URLs in each post header. Most modern blogging software (including WordPress, movable type, Blogger, and others) will allow other bloggers who refer to stuff on my blog to “track-back” their post to mine. The fact that someone else referred to one of my entries in one of theirs is, in turn, indicated as a comment in this blog.
