It’s surprising just how much there is to catch up on after you spend two weeks out of the country. Kelly and I returned from a whirlwind tour of Western Germany and the Alcasian region of France, arriving to find a pile of mail, one very attention-starved cat, and a warm whirlpool tub. Between catching up on the bills, the news and the honey-do lists, we’ve both been well-occupied.
Photos will be posted soon, and more blog entries too. There’s a lot to process – from Blacksburg to Redmond to right-inside-my-brain and back again – so expect what appears here to be sparse but well-prepared. There’s equally as much to tell – adventures from Frankfurt to the Baltic Sea to the Rhine Valley to Strasbourg – so don’t let me get too tardy!
For now, I think I’m going to go join my wife in the hot tub. There’s wine to be drunk and jetlag to be gotten over.
