The mysterious and poorly-understood people of the post-Mayan period crafted this bowl, which thankfully remains intact even to present.

Anthopologists believe this bowel was crafted and fired using ancient techniques. The bowel may have been used in ritual or religious activities, or perhaps it was just used as a status symbol, display piece or bed pan. The history is a bit uncertain since it has been sitting in my garage for no good reason since my mother in law obtained it from the fine arts dealer, Pier One Imports.

Well, it made me chuckle at least…
